No Stakes Poker teaches players of all skill levels the fundamentals of Texas hold ‘em poker, from the ground up.
How It Works
Your teacher is your dealer and your dealer is your teacher! Forget about boring books or video instruction that doesn’t quite communicate the experience. The best way to learn poker is with cards in your hands and your poker face on.
During a 2.5 hour Texas Hold ‘Em poker workshop, your No Stakes Poker instructor will teach you the game from the ground up, walking you everything through the fundamentals of play...to strategy building, game theory, and a whole lot more.
Here’s how a typical workshop session breaks down:
First 30 Minutes
We’ll get things started with a guided warm-up session that sees you mastering things like table mechanics, hand rankings, and basic flow...all in a zero-pressure environment that makes learning easy, giving you the chance to ask questions and really get to know the fundamentals.
Remaining 2 Hours
Once we’ve gotten you acclimated, you’ll jump right into a mock tournament! As the game unfolds, we’ll pause for “learning moments” in real time, covering smart table strategy, while also illustrating the way these same concepts translate into daily life.
Along the way, you’ll master the unwritten etiquette of poker, learning subtle nuances and picking up tips from first-hand, real-world experience that you just can’t find in a book. Plus, your instructor will be there to help you both spot and understand your own physical and behavioral tells.
We don’t play until there’s a last person standing...but whoever does end up with the biggest stack of chips at each table definitely earns lifelong bragging rights!
